How much does a website cost in Morocco for a small business?
By Abdellah El Ghazi, computer science teacher and founder of TeamElGhazi
Short answer: at TeamElGhazi, a web development project starts at 2,500 MAD; the final price mostly depends on the number of pages, the languages, the features (booking, payment, client area) and who supplies the copy. On top of that, plan for the domain name, hosting and maintenance every year, which are not part of the build price.

"How much for a website?" It is usually the first message we get from a shop, a clinic, a law firm or a private school in Casablanca, Rabat or Tangier, and from foreign founders setting up in Morocco. Online answers range from "free website" offers to quotes worth tens of thousands of dirhams, which helps nobody. The honest answer: you are not paying for "a website", you are paying for a set of decisions. Once those decisions are written down, two quotes become comparable.
Six things that change the price
- Number of pages. Home, services and contact make a small showcase site. One page per product, course or city means more layout and more writing.
- Languages. Most Moroccan businesses need French and Arabic, often English for tourism, export or offshoring clients. Each language needs its own copy, and Arabic needs a right-to-left layout.
- Features. A contact form is simple. Online booking, card payment, a client area or a catalogue you edit yourself all need development and testing.
- Content. If you provide text and photos, the price drops. If the provider writes, translates and prepares images, that is extra work and it should be on the quote.
- Design. A template adapted to your colours costs less than a mock-up designed from scratch for your brand.
- Launch SEO. Titles, descriptions, speed, mobile version, Google Business Profile: a site prepared properly from day one gets found sooner.
The classic trap: forgetting the yearly costs
A website's price has two parts. The first is paid once: the build. The second comes back every year: the domain name (for example your-company.ma), hosting (the server that shows your site), the HTTPS certificate, updates and backups. A very low quote that says nothing about the second part is not necessarily cheaper over three years.

How to compare two quotes in ten minutes
Ask every provider these questions and get the answers in writing:
- Will the domain name be registered in my name?
- Will I get admin access, and can I switch provider without rebuilding everything?
- How many pages, how many languages, which features exactly?
- Who writes the copy and who provides the photos?
- How many rounds of changes are included, and when does the site go live?
- What are the yearly costs, and what happens if I stop paying them?
- Do the forms comply with Moroccan law 09-08 on personal data (notice and consent)?
A serious provider answers easily. If they stay vague about who owns the domain or the access, treat it as a warning sign, whatever the price.
Three mistakes we see all the time
A free site on an address that is not yours. Fine for testing, but the address belongs to the platform, it does not look like a company, and you cannot take it elsewhere.
A beautiful site that is slow on phones. Most of your visitors arrive on a smartphone, often on 4G. Heavy images lose a customer before they even see your prices.
No obvious way to reach you. A clickable WhatsApp number, a short form and your location on Google Maps are worth more than ten animations.
Our prices, as listed on our site
We prefer public prices to "contact us". These are our starting points; the detailed quote is free and comes after a short conversation about your needs on the Quote page.
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Web development (showcase site, custom build, e-commerce) | From 2,500 MAD |
| Digital marketing and lead generation | From 3,000 MAD |
| Full digital presence | 2,000 MAD / month (3-month minimum) |
| Automation and AI | From 5,000 MAD |
One example of our work: the French and Arabic website of the Club des Investisseurs Marocains (cimemaroc.com), shown in our portfolio. To see how we build (front-end, back-end, deployment), read our page Full-stack developer in Casablanca. And if you later want to automate the requests your site receives (replies, follow-ups, quotes), our AI agency in Morocco page explains what is actually useful for a small business.
What if I would rather build it myself?
It is doable if you have time and a simple project. Our Frontend Web Development course (2 months, blended, 2,500 MAD) covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React; the Full Stack Developer track (4 months, online, 3,000 MAD) adds the back-end and deployment. Still, expect several weeks before a site is ready for customers: for a busy business owner, hiring someone is often cheaper than the time it takes.
In short
Before comparing prices, write your needs in five lines: pages, languages, features, content you will supply, deadline. Then ask for quotes that separate the build from the yearly costs, and make sure the domain and access stay yours. For a first opinion, message us from the Contact page and we will tell you honestly whether a small showcase site is enough. Our office is at 26 rue Nahas Nahoui, Maarif (Casablanca); more answers are in the FAQ.
Frequently asked questions
What is the starting price for a website at TeamElGhazi?
Our web development service starts at 2,500 MAD. The final quote depends on the number of pages, languages, features and who supplies the copy and photos. Quotes are free.
Do I have to pay anything every year after the site is built?
Yes. The domain name and hosting renew every year, and a website needs updates and backups. Ask for these costs to be written in the quote, separately from the build price.
Should the domain name be registered in my name?
Always. The domain is your company's address on the internet. If it is registered in the agency's name, you depend on them to change host or provider.
Does a French and Arabic website cost more?
Yes, because each language needs copy written for its readers, a right-to-left layout for Arabic and SEO per language. In Morocco it usually pays off, since part of your customers search in Arabic.
